www.ladiesgaelic.ie | SPRING 2019 | 5 NEWS & SHORTS The All–Ireland Club Seven- a-Side competitions will take place on Saturday the 14th of September, 2019. The Junior, Intermediate and Senior All Ireland Sevens will be held in St. Sylvester's GAA Club and Naomh Mearnóg GAA Clubs in Dublin. To download entry forms click HERE. Clubs from all Counties are invited to enter this tournament. Forms should be completed by club Secretaries and returned to LGFA Head Office accompanied with the entry fee of €300 (€100 will be returned to clubs once they have participated in the tournament). Entries will be taken on a first come, first served basis. However, we will limit the number of entries from each County in order to cater for representatives from all Counties and overseas units. Please note we were over-subscribed last year so do not miss out! For further details and to submit entries, please contact developmentsupport@lgfa.ie All Ireland U16 Finalists have been confirmed HOLDERS Galway will face Meath in the All-Ireland Under 16 'A' Ladies Football Final, with Longford taking on Waterford in the 'B' decider and Louth meeting Sligo in the 'C' final. LGFA 2019 Volunteer Awards The annual Volunteer awards will honour individuals from 9 separate categories. 1. Club Committee Officer of the Year 2. County/Provincial Officer of the Year 3. Young Volunteer of the Year 4. School Coach of the Year 5. Club Coach of the Year 6. PRO of the Year 7. Local Journalist of the Year 8. Lulu Carroll Award – Overall Volunteer of the Year. 9. Hall of Fame Award The closing date for nominations is Friday 15 th November at 5pm. LGFA, Lidl Ireland & Jigsaw have joined forces to pilot the Lidl One Good Club Programme. The programme aims to support clubs and communities in the support of the mental health and wellbeing of their young people. In 2019, four clubs, Kinsale (Cork), Roscommon Gaels, (Roscommon), Castleknock (Dublin) and St. Eunan's Letterkenny (Donegal) will participate in the first pilot of the programme during which they will be supported and encouraged to undertake a series of mental health and wellbeing initiatives in line with Jigsaw's 5 a Day for your Mental Health concept.
