THE LGFA is inviting anyone interested in reaching the top as a referee to take their first steps on the path to success. The National Referee Accelerate Programme is welcoming referees with a minimum age of 23 and a minimum of five years of refereeing experience to apply for a place on this intensive course. The course consists of 5 modules which focus on Technical, Physical, Mental and Tactical development as well as offering plenty of support and advice. Aoife Ní Cheallaigh of Mullaghbawn, Armagh, Niamh King of Castlewellan in Down and Lucy Watters from Mattock Rangers in Louth all gave incredible displays of skills to finish level on 70 points. THE date, times and venues have been announced for the 2018 All-Ireland Minor A and B semi-finals. Holders Galway and Cork, who were runners-up in 2018, will meet in an eagerly-anticipated semi-final at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh, on Sunday, July 21 (3.45pm). The other semi-final pits Meath, the Leinster champions, against Ulster representatives Monaghan. That game will be played in Mullahoran, Co. Cavan, at 2pm on Sunday, July 21. On the same day, the All-Ireland Minor B semi-final between Clare and Roscommon is the first game on a MacDonagh Park double-bill in Nenagh. That game throws in at 2pm, with the winners to face Leinster champions Longford in the Final. Provincial Finals Live streaming of all 4 Provincial Finals was much appreciated by all who couldn't attend the games. Dublin, Donegal, Galway and Cork showed early signs of their intent for the 2019 Championship as they all continued their Provincial dominance. See pages 14 – 17 for the stats from each match.
