Letterkenny I.T.'s second goal arrived from Na Dúnaibh's Julie Trearty following a long solo run. After the game, LGFA National Development Officer Con Moynihan presented the Cup to MICL 2 captain Sadhbh Lally from Carrigaline, Co. Cork. The Gourmet Food Parlour Player of the Match award went to Letterkenny I.T.'s Aishleen McGuinness from Moville, Co. Donegal. DIVISION 5: Athlone IT 2-05, Queens University Belfast (2) 3-10 A stunning second half display helped Queens University Belfast (2) to Division 5 honours, with a 14-point win over Athlone I.T. at TU Dublin, Broombridge. QUB2 began this game in strong fashion, and led by 1-1 to 0-0 after just five minutes, with Sarah Dougherty finding the net, after both sides had mis-fired in the opening minutes. AIT2 got out of the blocks with an eighth minute Tamra Lee point, and followed this up four minutes later with a Brionna Geoghegan score. AIT captain Rebecca Nolan and goalkeeper Aoife Groarke performed well throughout, but Queens were hungry for scores. Armagh's Emma Conlon grabbed their second goal, before another Dougherty point ensured a 2-3 to 0-3 lead on 23 minutes. AIT worked hard to cut the gap, with a point each from Lee and Offaly's Vicki Carey reducing the margin to four points at the break. Queen's looked strong on the restart, with Dougherty continuing to add to their tally. Monaghan's Cait Brennan grabbed three points in- a-row from play, before Queen's completed their hat- trick on 47 minutes. Just three more points followed, with Queens well on their way to victory. DIVISION 6: GMIT 2-08, Limerick IT 3-10 Limerick I.T. delivered GFP Division 6 Ladies HEC silverware, thanks to a five-point win over GMIT Mayo in Dangan, on the N.U.I. Galway Sports Campus. When the sides met in the group stages, it resulted in an epic encounter, with an injury-time goal key, as GMIT Mayo left Limerick with a one- point win. This game was no different, and offered a keenly-contested affair, with little to separate the teams throughout. Goal-scorers Anna Tuohy (1-4) and Anne Marie Coen were among those trying to keep GMIT Mayo in touch, but LIT held that extra edge. After the game, LGFA National Development Officer Con Moynihan presented the Cup to Mary Immaculate College captain Shauna Ryan from Murroe-Boher, Co. Limerick. The Gourmet Food Parlour Player of the Match award went to LIT's Chloe Towey from Doora-Barefield, Co. Clare 3 4
