See Above SET UP: • Set up mini grids about 10m x 10m. Assign four players per grid, two defenders and two attackers! • Attackers on one corner of the grid while defenders on the opposite side of the grid • Attacker has the ball in their possession with head facing down • On the coaches first whistle, the defender runs from their corner towards the attacker, on the second whistle attacker looks up and tries to evade the oncoming defender • The aim for the attacker is to get to the far corner of the grid (where the defender came from), while the aim of the defender is to delay the attack via pushing player onto non dominant side, deny them forward movement and dispossess when opportunity arises NOTE – In this activity, defenders sometimes 'dive in' too early and get evaded easily. Important defenders has good feet, body positioning and hands in order to have best opportunity to dispossess their opponent.
