44 // Ladies Gaelic Football Association ALL IRELAND U14 B CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL PEIL Summer | Issue No 2 | Volume 14 illy Sherridan gave a wonderful display of attacking skills in Ballinasloe during the U14 B Championship Final. She scored three of Mayo's seven goals as they overcame Tipperary, the pre match favourites. Mayo were determined in their attack from the outside hitting four gaols in the first half. Sherridan was player of the match, but others including Sinead Walsh, Clara Barrett, Niamh O'Malley and full back Amy Dunleavy were equally instrumental. Tipperary played with the wind in the second half and managed to reign Mayo into three points at one stage. Mayo's well timed goals however provided a consistent cushion for them and gave them a solid platform to claim the County's first u 14 B title in 10 years. 1. Lia Coady (Sliabh na mBan) 2.
