Training: The clubs selected have attended provincial training (Feb/March) to train coordinators and coaches in running the 12 week programme. Over 140 coordinators and coaches attended the training and were upskilled through theory and practical. Topics covered included engaging with key stakeholders prior, during and after the programme, how to deliver the programme and how to sustain growth to ensure increased participation. Promotion: The club receives resources to market and promote their club's participation in the programme. Delivery: The 12 week programme will see players learn all of the skills of the game in a safe and fun environment before they are integrated with existing club players Key G4G dates: Week of 9 th April: Week 1 of the 12 week programme commences. Week 8: Participant's presentation evening where they receive their G4G oºcial jersey and certificate. Week 8-12: Participants will integrate into existing club teams. Week 12: The highlight will be the Provincial blitzes in June and July where the girls will get an opportunity to represent their clubs in a fun, non-competitive environment. What is G4G Programme? A FUN, 12 week programme to attract 8-12 year olds girls of all abilities, who are not currently registered to a club. The programme helps grow participation numbers and integrate into existing teams or can help establish a new team in your area. Gaelic4Girls has been one of the great success stories for Ladies Gaelic Football and in 2018, 33 clubs in Ireland and 10 clubs in Britain have been selected to benefit from the programme.
