STRATEGY 4 Operations and Administration Strategic Goal – Provide leadership, training and supports to create effective structures and people at Provincial, County and Club level STRATEGIC OUTCOME 1 Improved, effective management and governance structures in place at Provincial, County and Club level STRATEGIC OUTCOME 2 Quality, well-trained people, (professional/volunteer) in place to lead and drive the association forward STRATEGIC OUTCOME 3 A strong culture of planning and evaluation embedded across all units in the Province STRATEGIC OUTCOME 4 Leinster GAA to be the recognised leader in growing the Association and providing supports and services to our units STRATEGIC ACTIONS • Review effectiveness of Leinster GAA operational structures to deliver on strategic plan and needs of counties • Support County Committees and clubs in reorganisational development exercises and ensuring proper HR policies and practices are in place • Manage and address key risks at all levels that could impact association slow growth • Work with LGFA, Camogie, Handball and Rounders to avoid duplication and create greater cooperation • Work with Croke Park in development and implementation of an accreditation scheme for clubs • Optimise GAA IT systems to assist our operations (IT, On-line forms, Fixtures, Membership Data etc) STRATEGIC ACTIONS • Work with Croke Park in delivery of Club and County Officer training programmes • Engage with 3 rd level Colleges to provide accredited training to our people • Establish a corps of facilitators to support Club and County Committees in planning • Utilise GAA E-Learning portal in training of Officers • PR and Marketing Committee to develop an Awards Scheme for people who excel within organisation STRATEGIC ACTIONS • Leinster GAA collaborate annually with all Counties to agree a 'One Team' project for implementation across the Province • Work with Croke Park in delivery of Club and County Committee strategic planning • Provincial Officer & Senior Staff meet on two occasions annually with County Committee Executive to review, evaluate and support County committee operations • Review structures/models to account for demographic changes in rural and urban areas STRATEGIC ACTIONS • Maintain and build stronger relationships with our Clubs and County Committees through provision of services • Strengthen and grow potential partnership with key stakeholders and agencies e.g. local authorities • Carry out periodic needs analysis of our Club and County committees to influence our menu of supports and services • Work with Croke Park in promotion of Health and Well-being programmes 18
