Cathaoirleach Comhairle Laighean CLG A chairde, Is mór an onóir dom ár bplean straitéiseach a chur I láthair a thabhairt do Chomhairle Laighean 2015-2018. Over the course of its rich 115-year history, Leinster GAA has been renowned for breaking new ground and setting high standards in the nurturing and promotion of Gaelic games among the People, Clubs, Schools and Counties of our Province. It is with this tradition in mind that we have produced a Strategic Vision for Leinster GAA to cover the period of 2015 to 2018. The positive reputation that we enjoy in Leinster GAA is built on the back of those generations of dedicated men and women who toiled selflessly to create the entity that has been entrusted to us. And it is with that heritage in mind that I am eager to see this Strategic Plan become a living, breathing document and be seen as an Operational Plan that is put to use in every corner of our great Province. For all the progress that has been made, this is not a time for being content. Neither is it a time for being cautious. The history of Leinster GAA is one of being bold and ambitious. We have a clear Purpose, a clear Vision and a clear Mission. And we have identified five key pillars upon which we can strengthen the Leinster GAA that we have, and will become a solid foundation that fortifies us and allows us to build for the future. These designated strategic action plans on Games Development and Refereeing, Facilities, Marketing and Promotion, Operations and Administration and Finance will be used to drive Leinster GAA into that future. We will strive for high quality facilities that befit our Games and our supporters, and promote our competitions with a dynamic marketing approach that also reflects the New Media age. Our goal is to enhance our games programmes at child, youth and adult levels and support this growth by producing better qualified coaches and referees and ultimately a better product at senior level. We will aim to have effective management and governance so that whether it is with our professional staff or our volunteers, we will have people of the highest quality driving our association. And we will set a standard for a solid financial footing between Provincial, County and Club level to invest in this growth. To ensure that the Strategic Plan achieves these goals we have committed to a series of six month reviews over its duration to ensure that our progress is monitored and evaluated. Our Games and our Association are built on our People and it remains a constant source of pride to me to be Cathaoirleach of Leinster GAA and the countless volunteers and other officers who strive on a daily basis to maximise our potential. I would like to express my sincerest thanks to all of those who have worked on this Plan and in particular, the members of our Management Committee. My hope is that we continue to grow and build for the future through the successful implementation of this document. Ar aghaidh linn le cheile. Seán Ó hÓráin Cathaoirleach Comhairle Laighean CLG FORWARD 2
