197 NMH | 2024 197 Administration Absenteeism The average absenteeism rate for the hospital in 2024 was 4.47% at year-end; this was still acerbated by absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic (0.2%). The HSE national target for absenteeism in normal circumstances is 4%. Our overall sick leave figure continues to be in line with the HSE average when absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic is omitted.
