Why did you take up the whistle? I was coaching underage girl's teams for my club and did the go games referee course to help with underage matches. I also started doing the line in Ulster in 2018 and then joined the National Linesperson panel in 2019. With my playing career coming to an end, I took up refereeing to remain involved in the sport I love and to keep fit. Q. What motivated you to stay refereeing? By becoming a referee I am helping ladies football continue to grow in my county and I have had some wonderful opportunities through it. It has also opened up a whole new social circle to me, where I have made some great friends. There's nothing like the feeling when you are refereeing a fast competitive match. Q: Q: Q: A: A: A: Name: Ciara Gilroy Club: Tullylish County: Down
