What do I need to set up this exercise?
Multiple footballs and cones
What will exercise layout look like?
See below
How do I execute this exercise?
• Layout the activity on either side of the goals. It is
important this activity has the required number
of footballs for flow purposes. In addition, you will
require a person to stand at cones B and D. This
person could be an assistant coach or injured player.
• Distance between cones and from goals are
dependent on age/ability of the group you are
coaching
• The activity commences with players at cone A. The
player runs (take four steps), bounce and solos the
ball and handpasses the ball to person standing at
cone B. This player continues their run and collects a
ball from a person standing at cone D and shoots for
a goal.
• The person at cone B upon receiving the ball from
player coming from cone A offloads or handpasses
the ball a player coming on the 'loop' from cone C
shoots for a point.
• This activity can be performed on the other side of
the goals also.
