I
t's been a whirlwind of activity for Vikki
Wall since Meath's fairytale TG4 All-
Ireland final success, and while there
were appearances on The Late Late Show,
and across the national media, she says her
most memorable experience was the day she
returned to her primary school.
The 23-year-old forward went back to
Gaelscoil Thulach na nÓg with the Brendan
Martin Cup in hand. And it was an emotional
day for the Dunboyne ace who would later go
on to receive TG4 Senior Players' Player of the
Year and All-Star awards.
"I went back by myself because the rest of
the girls couldn't come that day," said Wall.
"I walked in and they had a little Céilí band
set up, they were playing 'Beautiful Meath' on
their tin whistles and violins and everything.
"I wasn't even expecting it and I went in
and all of the kids were out in the yard. It was
emotional yeah. Seeing one of my teachers,

her little kids would be playing now, I have met
them a few times at matches. It's nice it has
come full-circle.
"Those type of little moments that we have
had since the All-Ireland, they are things I will
definitely remember for the rest of my life.
"Also when myself and the girls brought
the cup down to the underage training in
Dunboyne, just seeing the reaction of those
girls. That's the type of stuff that I love, it
