www.ladiesgaelic.ie | WINTER 2021 | 49 4 Girls GAELIC I n the 14 years since the launch of the Gaelic4Girls programme, it has been recognised as a leading programme in establishing, developing, and solidifying the underage structures in hundreds of clubs throughout the country and indeed overseas. We were delighted to continue with Glenveagh Homes on board as sponsors of the Gaelic4Girls Programme in 2022. 2021 saw the advent of so many new features of the programme and now combining the existing success- ful format with the new additions means that clubs will benefit and grow into the future. The feedback that was so freely provided by the par- ticipating clubs and coordinators indicated that the new features such as online training, ambassadors' skills challenges, and opportunities for further development were offering so much fun, and enjoyment, as well as a coordinated and strategic approach to club growth and sustainability. Much of these changes came for Dr Orlagh Farmer's PhD on the programme, which provided an invaluable insight. With such a huge volume of applicant clubs this year, it was clear that the programme is going from strength to strength. The excitement for the 2022 Gaelic4Girls programme is beginning to gain momentum with all clubs selected and there may be a few more positive developments in store before the on-pitch programme commences.
