It was with these reflections and descriptions of the programme's successes that we were delighted to welcome Glenveagh Homes on board as new sponsors of the Gaelic4Girls Programme. This exciting new sponsorship will cover a three-year term – 2021-2023 inclusive – with Glenveagh Homes coming on board to sponsor one of the LGFA's most important development programmes. Glenveagh are the "Home of the New" and it is particularly appropriate that we are welcoming them on board in 2021 as this year the programme has a fresh outlook, content, and so many new enhancements that are helping clubs to deliver the programme in a more efficient and accessible manner with wider exposure. Current TG4 Senior Players' Player of the Year Aimee Mackin is joined in her ambassadorial role by Roscommon centurion, and current Intermediate Team of the Year member, Jennifer Higgins. The two stars provide weekly welcomes to new players and skills challenges that will assist participants in trying to perfect their newly-acquired skills in the home setting. For the coaches and coordinators, access to the brand new E-Learning portal provided a one-stop-shop for all their promotional, organisational, and coaching needs. This new portal allowed participating clubs to engage in online training and access to all supports from the comfort of their own home or, indeed, from the side of the playing field. In a further positive enhancement and development that will revolutionise how the programme is delivered in clubs in the future, the programme content and weekly sessions have been constructed and supplied by Dr Orlagh Farmer as part of her PHD study into physical activity of young girls through the medium of the Gaelic4Girls programme. Orlagh's expertise in session construction has allowed us to provide designed, games-based , fun activities for the participants to enjoy every week. These sessions, with accompanying videos, have been digitalised and are available at the coach and coordinators' fingertips on their mobile device to allow them to prepare the session in a more visual and interactive way. This year, we have also seen the commencement of some educational suites that cater for the needs of both coaches and parents and will aid in the introduction of parental involvement in many different spheres of the programme and the club as a whole. There's a role for everyone!! And, to complement this theme, the enhanced programme also offers some feedback webinar sessions on how to create that sustainable growth within a club and how to empower clubs to capitalise on the successes of the Gaelic4Girls programme for many years to come. 2020 may have seen a suspension of the Gaelic4Girls programme but 2021 has certainly seen a new and exciting beginning for this extremely effective and popular programme. It has become the home of a new way of delivering, promoting and capitalising on an already effective programme. Now, with sponsors Glenveagh on board, Gaelic4Girls 2021 is embracing the new.
