20 | SUMMER 2021 | www.ladiesgaelic.ie MATCH Report W ith a national title and promotion to Division two on the line for both teams, it was no surprise that the Division 3 final turned into a tightly contested battle in the sweltering heat of Baltinglass. Shane Curley of Galway was the man in the middle as Laois managed to edge their way in front of neighbours Kildare. Laois can give a lot of credit to Mo Nerney for her fine display of forward play. Up front, Nerney had three points on the board in the first half, while Eimear Barry pulled off some great saves in the Laois goal. This gave Laois a 0-6 to 0-3 lead at half time.
