Over the last number of years third-level institutions have seen an increase in research which focused not only on female sport but more specifically Ladies Gaelic Football. We are looking forward to our new project - The LGFA Research Pod - which will form part of our official LGFA YouTube Channel. The purpose of this is to gather, share and highlight quality research relevant to our sport. The idea was well received by research institutions and academics alike, with everyone keen to share their findings. We are very grateful for the immense amount of research being completed across the country and we are delighted to be able to provide this platform for people to profile their work. Over the last number of months we have received an influx of topics. Each chosen topic will be covered in a 10-minute video and will be released at lunchtime over the coming weeks. With more people having lunch alone or at home due to social distancing, it could be an opportune time to keep up to date with the latest research. If you are interested in showcasing your research, please email development support@lgfa.ie and we will send you a submission form. The Gaelic4Mothers&Others Injury Prevention Series is to assist women who are starting or already playing G4M&O to Prepare to Play and reduce the risk of injury.
