Q
: Rónán, thanks for talking to
us. December's All-Ireland
Ladies Football Finals mark the
20th of the long-standing
partnership between TG4 and Peil
na mBan. How would you describe
the journey to date?
A: It has been an amazing journey.
It is hard to believe that TG4 will be
broadcasting our twentieth consecutive
Finals this December. The years have gone
by very fast. Ladies Football has enjoyed
phenomenal growth over the past twenty
years. With this growth, TG4 has benefited
by having huge audiences watching the
games live on television or on the online
TG4 Player.
Q
: How good is it to lead a team
that's so committed to the
promotion of Ladies Football – both
at home and abroad?
A: I am privileged to work in a television
station that is so committed to the
promotion of Ladies Football. Since we
started broadcasting and sponsoring Ladies
Football, the entire TG4 team and staff
have worked very hard to ensure that it is a
successful partnership.
We also have NemetonTV, who produce
TG4's live coverage of Peil na mBan Beo,
and they have been great partners of TG4
and Ladies Football since we started our
coverage. TG4 also sponsors the TG4 All-
Stars and this has given us the opportunity
