05 TIPPERARY MANAGER: Shane Ronayne 2019 FINISH: All-Ireland Intermediate Champions. PROSPECTS: Tipperary are a team to watch and they'll privately feel they're in with a great chance of emerging top of the pile in a group that contains Monaghan and Galway. The 2019 All-Ireland Intermediate Champions will have learned much from their previous season at senior level in 2018 – and they've held their own in Division 1 of the Lidl National League since being promoted two years ago. 06 WATERFORD MANAGER: Ciaran Curran 2019 FINISH: Beaten All- Ireland quarter-finalists. PROSPECTS: Waterford were crowned Lidl Division 2 champions last year and began life in the top flight with a bang – defeating last year's Division 1 and All-Ireland runners-up Galway. They won't have Michelle Ryan in their ranks for Championship 2020 but manager Ciaran Curran has an exciting team at his disposal – and they'll be competitive. 07 KERRY MANAGER: Darragh Long/ Declan Quill 2019 FINISH: Beaten All- Ireland quarter-finalists. PROSPECTS: Kerry were 5/5 in Division 2 of the Lidl National League and moving extremely well before Covid-19 cut the League short. Joint- managers Declan Quill and Darragh Long are shrewd operators and the Kingdom could emerge as a Championship surprise packet. They're in a competitive group alongside Munster rivals Cork and Cavan. 10 | AUTUMN 2020 | www.ladiesgaelic.ie 08 DONEGAL MANAGER: Maxi Curran 2019 FINISH: Eliminated in group stages. PROSPECTS: Key players Geraldine McLaughlin, Yvonne Bonner and Karen Guthrie have all enjoyed brilliant recent club campaigns in Donegal – and that augurs well for the county team's chances. The Championship format could well suit Maxi Curran's charges but they'll have their work cut out against Waterford and champions Dublin.
