Now in its third year, Club2Gether is an LGFA club development initiative aimed at strengthening club structures. This initiative focuses on developing areas such as volunteer recruitment and retention, governance & officer training, sponsorship and fundraising, games development as well as planning for the future to ensure sustainable structures are in place going forward. 2019-2020 Programme On Thursday 11 th June, clubs from all over Ireland gathered via webinar for the culmination of over nine months of hard work through the LGFA's Club2Gether programme. 2020 clubs were Ballinrobe (Mayo), Caulry (Westmeath), Crossmaglen (Armagh), Kinsale (Cork), Leitrim Gaels (Leitrim), Na Fianna (Kildare), Naomh Muire, Íochtar na Rosann (Donegal), Oola (Limerick), St Marys (Leitrim), St. Manchans (Offaly), St. Ultans (Meath), Thomas Davis (Dublin), Timahoe (Laois) and Tullogher-Rosbercon (Kilkenny). An added twist this year saw participating clubs complete the programme with a series of webinars over the March to June period due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Each club availed of free training for their club officers and coaches and resources were also provided to each club to assist with building sustainable structures. When the programme finishes participating clubs can avail of a basic two year plan to support them with increasing the retention rates of volunteers and develop their vibrancy within the local community. Details on the next phase of the Club2Gether will be released in the coming weeks.
