31 Fitness Fitness is a fundamental requirement for refereeing. Fitness is essential for: • Keeping up with play and positioning • Making quality and correct decisions, mental alertness • Maintaining concentration for the full duration of the game. • Self- confidence • Avoid fatigue LGFA Five Point Fitness Plan Mentally prepare for all games - Referees must leave off the field matters, off the field.
