Half-time: Naomh Ciaran 1-04 Naomh Pól 1-04 Score of the match: For sheer importance, it's difficult to look past substitute Seana Heffernan's goal. Trailing by five points with eight minutes remaining, Offaly's Naomh Ciaran produced a stunning finish to turn the game on its head. Heffernan's key goal was the moment that launched the Naomh Ciaran revival, with Roisin Egan and Roisin Ennis helping to set up the chance with incisive play. Summary: A quite remarkable game of football unfolded as Naomh Ciaran became the first team from Offaly to win an All-Ireland club title. Down by five points with time fast running out, Naomh Ciaran came with a blistering late run to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a superb encounter played at Kingspan Breffni, Cavan. The sides were level at 1-4 apiece at the break in front of a bumper crowd and Antrim's Naomh Pól looked set for victory when they led by 2-9 to 1-7, before Seana Heffernan revived the Naomh Ciaran challenge with an excellent goal. Naomh Ciaran were buoyed by that effort and finished with a real flourish in the closing minutes, to claim a memorable victory. CLUB FINAL CLUB FINAL "We were beat. We were down five points with about eight minutes to go and I thought that we were in big, big trouble. But the girls worked a goal and once the goal went in we worked it back to two. The girls liter- ally started piling pressure on then. They kicked four points and won it by two." – Naomh Ciaran manager Colin Kenny.
