Siobhán Killeen, beaming from ear to ear, Intermediate trophy in right hand, left hand in five- fingered salute. One finger for each goal she scored on the night. Rarely have we seen such magnificent and clinical finishing in a game of such magnitude. Right foot, left foot, it didn't matter as Killeen and Clontarf put Monaghan opponents Emmet Óg to the sword. The 8-14 to 2-5 scoreline did flatter Clontarf somewhat as they got a run on Emmet Óg down the home straight. But it was Killeen who grabbed the headlines with her individual haul of 5-4 – or 19 points if you want to look at it that way. This was very much the icing on a sweet-tasting cake for Killeen, whose exploits earned her The Croke Park Player of the Month award for December. She made a decision earlier this year to concentrate exclusively on Ladies Football after a successful soccer career. And it's a decision that's been vindicated as Killeen finished the season as a member of Dublin's TG4 All-ireland Senior winning panel – before landing county, Leinster and All-Ireland Club medals. A radiographer at Dublin's Mater Hospital, having graduated from UCD in 2016, Killeen is happy to shoot the breeze on a chilly December afternoon, just days after her match-winning rampage at Parnell Park. 8:30-5pm is the general working day for 25-year-old Killeen, who reveals that she clocked into work on the morning of the All-Ireland club final for a few hours. She found those four hours "useful" in that it took her mind off what lay in store for a while. She got home then, had some time to relax, and the wait wasn't as long as it would have been. Clontarf made the short spin to Parnell Park in a coach, with a large support in tow. Killeen noticed that momentum and numbers began to build as Clontarf ventured deeper and deeper into the championship – particularly from Leinster stage on. They took five buses to Duggan Park in Ballinasloe for the All-Ireland semi-final victory over Galway outfit St Brendan's. Killeen scored 1-3 that day as Clontarf put 6-9 past the Westerners. But their best performance of the season was to come – and on the biggest day of all. Stars for I Clontarf Ladies Siobhán Killeen
