INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The later stages of the Intermediate
Championship had an international feel
as two teams from London made the semi
finals. Thomas MacCurtains (London)
topped their group but the Galway women
of Tuam Cortoon took a goal chance
that proved to be the difference as they
overcame the Londoners with a 2-08 to
1-08 scoreline. The other semi final saw
Parnells of London make short work of
Kilmurry Ibrickane of Clare with a scoreline
of 9-07 to 2-03.
The final saw Parnells give an exhibition
in goal scoring as they claimed the
Intermediate Championship with a final
score of Parnells (London) 7-08, Tuam
Cortoon (Galway) 2-06.

INTERMEDIATE SHIELD
Clonguish (Longford) had to prove their
worth in the semi final of the Intermediate
Shield in order to overcome 7s experts
Kilmovee Shamrocks (Mayo). In the end only
a single goal separated the teams. Clonguish
booked their spot in the final with 2-09 to
Kilmovee's 1-09. In the other semi final Saval
(Down) dominated Moneymore (Derry) with
1-07 to 0-04 the final score.
The final was a nail- biter! Saval were
lethal in front of goal but Clonguish kept
themselves in the game by taking their
points. Clonguish had two points to spare
when the final whistle went.
Final score: Clonguish Longford 2-13 v
Saval Down 4-05.
