Goals from captain Sinead Aherne, Laura McGinley and Noelle Healy along with an all round dominant performance saw Dublin claim their first ever Tipperary 0-21, Cavan 3-11 Tipperary and Cavan have been playing key roles in the some of the most exciting encounters in Ladies football over the last number of years. Both teams are pushing to make the step up to compete with the top tier of teams. The Division 2 league final again showed the commitment and potential in both camps. Their successful performance was built on the superb accuracy of the deadly duo Aisling McCarthy and Aishling Moloney who combined for 0-15. Even though Cavan were aggressive and accurate in front of goals. the three goals from Aishling Sheridan (two) and Roisin O'Keeffe weren't enough for James Daly's side.
